History

The home isn't present on the 1897 atlas of Haverford Township, but it's present on the 1908 map of Haverford and Lower Merion. It was probably built around 1902.

1910 census: Virginian Return Jonathan is living with his family and African-American maid. Meigs was a descendant of the Cherokee tribe.

The Scanlons lived in the home up until at least 1937, and it was up for rent in 1939. The home was occupied by a daughter of the Elton family in 1941, the wife of Vincent Decurtis.

The Decurtis family lived in the home until 1958, when it was sold to Frank Dolce for $16,000, $1,500 less than the original asking price. By 1961, the Pucci family lived there, and after an open house, it was sold to the Helm family in 1971. In 1985, they sold the home to Longs. The Longs put the home on the market in 1993 for $174,900, and sold it the following year for $163,000.
